World No.4 and USA No.1 Olivia Weaver has withdrawn from the upcoming PSA Squash Tour Finals 25/26 presented by TWG Global due to injury.
Weaver reached the final last year, losing out to Nouran Gohar. But after suffering an injury in her warm-up before her British Open quarter final with Satomi Watanabe last week, she has not been able to recover in time for the season-ending event in Paris.
Belgium’s Tinne Gilis finished 9th in the Road to Tour Finals leaderboard and has therefore been called up to occupy the No.8 seeding place. She will now play top seed and World Champion Amina Orfi in round one. Sivasangari Subramaniam has risen to become the No.4 seed and will now play Satomi Watanabe, who has become the No.5 seed.
Georgina Kennedy has moved to the bottom of the draw to play No.2 seed Hania El Hammamy, while Fayrouz Aboelkheir will now face No.3 seed Nour ElSherbini.
